Made from 12mm wide, top quality, nylon climbing rope with reinforced stitching, The Original Charlie is fully adjustable and easy to slip on and off. Its soft texture means it's comfortable for your best mate, but also easy-going on your hands.

“BUT GUYS, WHY IS IT CALLED THE ORIGINAL CHARLIE?"
When he was growing up, our beautiful Lab-retriever, Charlie, was a bit of a puller. His bounding energy was cute to start with, but it soon drove us nuts. He just about tugged our arms out of their sockets and it wasn’t much fun taking him for a walk.
We tried all different types of leads but none of them lasted very long. They either fell apart or Charlie chewed through them. Eventually we said “enough’s enough” (actually, we probably used some other words!). We knew we had to sniff out the best quality materials we could find and design a special lead just for Charlie. So that’s exactly what we did. And would you believe it … *Lab-racadabra!* … the new lead worked a treat (along with a bit of training of course) and that’s how The Original Charlie was born!
The quality of the lead itself is really good and love the colour, however the leather bit that's meant to hold the slip length moves and so when our dog pulls (he is being trained) it tightens on his neck and chokes.

The slip lead I received is great quality and I’m sure works as it should. However, mine is still sitting on my pups crate unused as it’s not appropriate for my pup. I reread the descriptions before I ordered it and did so thinking it would be right. I be was wrong. The lead is too thick, and heavy and doesn’t suit the pup at all. Maybe one day!
